Tethered Letters is about faith, art, culture, family, gardening, and everything in between. It isn’t an issues, apologetics, or theology letter. Those things come up, of course, but I’m more into the practical stuff, namely: what does my faith look like close to the earth? My earth is clay-packed, rural Indiana, in my childhood home, surrounded by children and learning what it means to love this place and the people who inhabit it.

Each monthly letter is formed out of this earth.

I also write Five Lines twice a month on no particular schedule. This is a curated set of five poetry-adjacent lines (from poems, interviews, and songs) that I think are worth your time. And of course, I write about various and sundry other things whenever I feel like doing so.

All of my current writing is free, but you can upgrade to a paid subscription to get access to old writing from before a year ago. And if you like my poetry well enough, you can get a copy of my latest poetry collection here.

Thanks for reading, loved ones.
